in--- At PartnerCare, we believe our team members are at the heart
of our organization. Our X Ray Technicians are medical
professionals responsible using imaging machines and tools to
create a map of a patient's internal tissues and organ systems to
assess their overall health. Their duties include explaining
procedures to patients, calibrating imaging equipment and preparing
results. They also keep the imaging room clean and maintain all
privacy regulations. A certificate from the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. The successful candidate
will be a qualified and compassionate provider with licensure to
see all age ranges. You will work in a collaborative, team-oriented
work environment, and have the opportunity to work in a friendly,
caring environment where patients are treated with respect.Had you
been with us last month, these are the things you would do:
- Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the
patient's body needs imaging.
- Talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to
lower their anxiety.
- Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to
the specified position
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and
to the patient.
- Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient
shielding.
- Keep good patient records.
- Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock,
anticipating future needs and placing orders.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Comply with all HIPAA compliance policies.
- Ensures that medical charts and administrative paperwork are
completed in a timely manner
- Performs within guidelines of specific privileges approved by
the governing body and delegated by the Medical Director
- Provides support to medical and office staffand after having
done all these things and more, you would have the following---
- Associate degree in radiologic technology or radiology
- Certificate from the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT)
- Active Radiology Technician License for the state of practice
is required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA policies
- BCLS certification is required. ACLS preferred.
- Prefer 2+ years of experience in a Medical/Surgical ASC
setting; Interventional Pain Management specialty is highly
preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to
communicate care plan to patients and teammates and to chart
information into Electronic Health Records. Is this you? If so,
