Job Description:
Titan America, LLC has an opening for a Maintenance Technician
for its Estero, FL aggregates plant. This wage non-exempt position
will report to the and site Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. Job
Responsibilities:
- Perform all required safety checks and follow all safety rules
and regulations. (Titan & MSHA)
- While plant is running, ensure there is no material
contamination and inspect the plant for deficiencies as you
work.
- Perform welding, grinding, and cutting as required. Grease
lubrication points throughout the plant on a regular basis and as
directed.
- Knowledge of hardware sizes, general mechanics, hand tools,
power tools, and repair practices.
- Assist supervision in complex repairs to the plant and other
systems on site.
- Have experience of conveyors, crushers, screens, screws, and
other aggregate processing equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on fixed and
mobile equipment (water truck, forklift, manlift, etc.)
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis when problems arise.
Communicate efficiently with the Lead and Manager.
- Maintain records of work performed to assist in tracking
equipment history.
- Maintain exterior, interior shop and work area
cleanliness.
- Able to proficiently operate a forklift, manlift, water truck,
and other service equipment as required. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and on-job training.
- At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance.
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
- Ability to understand and follow the oral and written
instructions sufficient to carry out repair orders and understand
maintenance records and equipment specifications.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and fractions for hardware.
- Ability to maintain basic records for repair work done.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely
manner.
- Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards, MSHA regulations,
and of related safety practices.
- Knowledge of principles and practices used to diagnose
equipment issues.
- Ability to interpret service manuals, diagrams, and
schematics.
- Ability to task train other personnel and lead repair jobs.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform heavy work exerting
up to 100 pounds of force occasionally: and/or up to 50 pounds of
force frequently: and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to
move objects. Shift: Must be able to work weekends and overtime as
