The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, located at 280 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL , 34108 is currently hiring a Event Production Staff.
Responsibilities include: BUSINESS OBJECTIVE
To insure an informative and complete description of the area to work at. Led by Destination Services Manager, Floral Manager/Supervisor or Operations Manager/Supervisor.

Position Summary
To oversee the proper ordering of products related to each event. Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure the products committed by the sales manager are available and brought in and sent out in a timely manner. Coordinate with Warehouse Attendant to ensure onsite props are in working condition and ready for each event. Schedule Warehouse Attendant to ensure timing and show readiness of props is complete. Coordinate with Banquet Team to ensure items for each event are in a location where they may be picked up and taken to each event. Schedule truck runs to and from the Golf Resort Property for their events. Coordinate with Entertainment Vendors to ensure bands are booked and locations of events are clear on all paperwork. Make recommendations on repair or disposal of props. Will assist with entering information onto Event Orders and help with Room Diagrams as needed. Assist with the booking and staffing of Leisure Tours. Assist with Team Building. Coordinate with Banquet Manager at beginning of day to ensure product location and availability. Ensure Floral Studio items make it to each event space and are set correctly. Walk each event prior to start time to ensure all product and entertainment are in place. Office duties to include helping with entering information on Event Orders and ensuring coverage for the Coordinator when needed. Office programs such as Microsoft, Excel and Outlook will be used on a regular basis and general knowledge is helpful. Other duties as to assist Sales Manager as required.

Safety and Security
Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor. Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines. Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.

To comply with the daily needs of the department as well as the Food and Beverage division by performing other task and covering other positions involved in the area such as Warehouse, Office, Floral Studio, Landscape Area or in any other department as requested.
Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement

Physical Tasks
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
General Floral Studio and Warehouse
Follow appropriate personal hygiene procedures to ensure items placed in food related service areas is safe for consumption, including disinfecting hands prior to handling food and wearing a hat/hairnet and proper footwear if necessary. Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel (i.e., management or maintenance).

Critical and Specific Tasks
Sanitation and Maintenance
Operate cleaning equipment and tools to ensure only clean and sanitary items are used in the floral studio and warehouse, including glass washing station, and trash compactor.
Organize cleaning chemicals and supplies and ensure they are stored appropriately and kept separate. Keep hand wash stations maintained (for example, supplied with soap, towels, step-on trashcan, gloves, and proper signage) and fully functional.
Follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures and pest control guidelines, reporting pest control issues to appropriate personnel.
Wash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives, and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions and meet the departmental standards, including using sanitizers required by health department.
Floral Studio Tools & Equipment if you choose to assist in this area.
Ensure proper and safe handling and storage of equipment, returning equipment to appropriate location. Cutters, Knives and other sharps.
Warehouse Activities if you choose to assist in this area
Ensure props are cleaned and in working order when stored so they are show ready
Help load and unload props onto carts and trucks to move between the two hotels.
Light Carpentry and Painting Skills needed to fix and touch up Props.
Maintaining Plant area to include watering, fertilizing, and trimming of Plants used for Events
Comfortable driving Hotel Vans and/Truck to move props to storage facilities or sister property
Processing of incoming and outgoing linens
Coordination with outside vendors to ensure products ordered are what is received.
Clean the warehouse and carpentry shop as needed

Dishwashing Activities if you choose to assist in this area
Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink at the appropriate levels to clean dishes, ensuring the chlorine levels are between 50 and 100 parts per million and that the water temperature is sufficiently hot.
Rack dirty items for cleaning as requested
Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing.
Allow cleaned items to air dry.
Be responsible for breakage all broken items (glassware mainly) to be stored in the proper RED BIN to track breakage in any area of Culinary and F&B
Maintenance, Sanitation, and Cleaning Activities
Empty full trashcans, ensuring each can is clean, relined, and covered, and maintain dumpster area.
Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments (e.g., sink area, shelves and counters in floral and warehouse areas, tops of chemical bottles, outside of the floral studio and warehouse, and walls, bus carts.
Clean and maintain sanitation areas and organize cleaning supplies including hanging up mops and brooms.
Organize floral containers and props as needed
Dispose of glass in the proper containers.
Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.
Keep sanitation closets locked and shut.
Prop Maintenance may require painting and handling chemicals. The use of gloves and following safety protocols is a must.
Cleaning warehouse and carpentry shop and keeping the areas organized
