To support that challenge, we are currently seeking a Production Planning Analyst in Alva, FL. You will help shape the future of agriculture by:

• Managing and communicating yield data to the site stake holders through the data systems in a timely manner
• Providing improved estimates of yield predictions in concert with the Growing, Operations and Planning teams based on stock performance history
• Ensuring that stored inventory is enough to meet and or exceed customer expectations and to ensure operational productivity and budgetary considerations
• Defining and implementing the stock management plan, including surplus cuttings and stock discards Accountabilities
  • Responsible for management of short and midterm production planning in concert with farm plan for all crops in line with the agreed plan with the supply and production planners
  • Managing starter materials according to the farm plan
  • Coordinate with the supply and production planners on all planning aspects and timely communication to mitigate any deviation from plan
  • Communicate and coordinate with production team, production planner, supply planner and customer service
  • Ensure the accuracy of availability following latest capacity updates
  • Manage all processes associated with staying on production plan with the operations team, communicate if there is deviation
  • Monitor and work closely with the operation team on optimal usage of supply in early and late season, including timely buildups and discard of stock, as well as risks management
  • Develop KPIs for the all crops and monitor cost of production
  • Participate in process improvement projects within planning processes
  • Updating capacities daily and for late order requests in SAP
  • Design layouts for new plantings to ensure that they meet specified needs
  • Ensure that the appropriate amount of inventory is in the storage for sales and own stock
  • Arrange for the supply of renewal stock into the Elite and supply production when needed
  • Ensure discards are made at the correct time to effectively control waste in production
  • Update production plan daily to balance planned versus actual following daily operation activities --
  • Assist on the management (creation and modification) of all W.O.W.s' associated with the area of responsibility. Ensuring that all procedures and processes are accurate and up to date
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment on the use of all HSE standards, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Supervise employees and other third-party personnel as required
  • Perform other duties as required to meet plant or site needs Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, preferably in Horticulture
    • Knowledge of crop production, planning and sales cycles
    • Ability to create and update S&OP for all production planning process
    • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access)
    • Must be Fluent in English
    • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
    • Capable of working long hours during time-critical periods of the production season
    • Must be authorized to work for Syngenta in the United States without work authorization sponsorship Preferred Requirements
      • Horticulture and Finance knowledge is a plus
      • SAP Experience preferred
      • Knowledge or familiarity with ornamental/Cutting production is preferable What We Offer:
