A career as a Recreation / Activities Attendant entails facilitating, coordinating, and carrying out recreation and leisure activities for all owners, members, and guests to elevate their vacation experience. In this role, you are adding an experience of fun and entertainment to our guests, both children and adults.

  Schedule Details: -Our Recreation / Activities Department operates 7 days per week including holidays. Shifts range between 6:00 am through 11:00 pm. Upon hire, you will receive your schedule. We offer paid training.
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  
  
  
  • 
    
  • Coordinates recreational programs and activities on a day-to-day basis for all age groups according to needs and interests of owners/members/guests, resort requirements and seasonal opportunities. -
    
  • Plans, organizes and instructs specific classes, activities and events, including special events, holiday programs, competitions, mixers and other group activities. -
    
  • Monitors and evaluates recreation program content and prepares communication material (flyers, handouts, postings, etc.) to attract participants and promote program interest.
    
  • Evaluates programs/activities for effectiveness and participation seeking new and exciting ideas for enhancement of the programs. -
    
  • Always provides outstanding owner/member/guest service including answering inquiries, providing information and general problem solving. -
    
  • Positively communicates with small to large groups for programs and activities. -Includes using microphones in an entertainment capacity. -
    
  • Maintains recreation inventory and orders activity supplies within budgetary constraints.
    
  • Assists and provides support to other departments when requested.
    
  • Rent and sign out recreation equipment to guests. Assist in recreation programs as required.
    
  • Assist in our comprehensive sailing program -
    
  • Assist with maintenance of sailing and bicycle fleet.
    
  • May include, monitoring pool activities, towel inventory control, and all other activity common areas.
    
  • Enforce all safety rules and regulations.
    
  • May require cash handling duties.
    
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Basic math and cash handling skills.
      
    • Proficient in MS Office and basic desktop publishing applications.
      
    • Able to work outdoors in all climates.
      
    • Excellent guest relations skills.
      
    • Able to interact with all age groups.
      
    • Able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to complete job requirements and to connect with co-workers and guests/owners.
      
    • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodation.
      
    • Athletic aptitude to participate in our tennis and pickleball games.
      
    • Knowledge of a wide variety of recreation activities and programs including their development and implementation.
      
    • Comfortable working on the water aboard wave runners, kayaks, paddleboard, and sailboats.
      
      
      
      
      It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

      • Prior sailing experience preferred
        
      • Previous customer service experience
        
      • Hospitality experience
        
      • Public speaking experience
        
      • Audiovisual equipment operation
        
      • Knowledge of a wide variety of recreation activities and programs including their development and implementation.
