Job Description:

A Duda & Sons, Inc., a diversified land management company operating for over 92 years, is currently seeking an entry-level Fork Lift Operator for its Sod Farm in Lake Placid, FL. The Fork Lift Operator will be responsible for hauling loaded pallets of sod out of the field to the loading areas as assigned. Candidate must be willing to drive Mower, Tractor and Harvester as needed. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday 6 am to 5 pm with some opportunities to work weekends. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. Job Requirements:Follow Foreman or Supervisor instructions involving the operation of farm equipmentPerform general labor tasks, light mechanicsConduct a daily equipment inspectionChange implements for cultivating, and sprayingAbide by company work rules and safety rulesExperience with GPS guided equipment or precision agriculture - a plusWorking Conditions:Work is mainly outdoors in farm fields, typically over un-even terrain.
