Job Description:
Job DescriptionSummary: This position is responsible for
performing operational support duties of the Wire Transfer
Department. Under minimum supervision, effectively processes
domestic and foreign wire transfers, and verifies and releases wire
payments to and from the Federal Reserve System and Correspondent
Banks to meet the established cutoff times. Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Understands and complies with requirements of all laws and
regulations applicable to the position
- Monitor compliance with Bank safety rules and applicable safety
and health standards established by federal, state, or local laws
and regulations
- Maintain a current awareness and understanding of and fully
comply with the Bank's "Code of Ethics and Conduct". Each employee
is also expected to maintain an awareness of the laws, regulations,
internal policies, and procedures that are appropriate for his/her
position.
- Ensure that all incoming and outgoing wires, both domestic and
foreign, are processed within the time limits on a daily basis and
according to policy, procedures conforming with legal and
regulatory requirements
- Review incoming wires to ensure proper and complete information
on the beneficiary is included in the wire in order to properly
credit the client
- Review wires to ensure that callback and OFAC process has been
completed
- Ensure general ledger lines associated with wire processing are
in balance and all transactions are cleared daily
- Understand and execute Remittance Transfers by complying with
all the requirements under Federal Regulation E and the CFPB
- Perform quality control on archived wire documents to ensure
the retrieval and legibility of documents are maintained at a high
standard of quality
- Review all outgoing wires as they are input into the wire
system to ensure that all information necessary for the wire to
meet its final destination is included on the wire form and
properly submitted into the wire system
- Capable of understanding international wires by SWIFT codes, in
U.S. dollars or foreign currency utilizing the Bank's correspondent
bank as a conduit to the final wire destination
- Take ownership and ensures timely response and resolution of
client and Bank personnel issues as it relates to wire
transfers
- Communicates recurring or serious issues, including suspicious
wire activity to the Wire Department Manager.
- Develop and recommend policy and procedural enhancements to
promote productivity and control as it relates to wire
transfers
- Attend and complete all required classroom, computer-based,
web-based, and seminar training
- May provide backup to Central Operations Specialist job

Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; higher degree
preferred
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in wire transfers and
operational back-office functions required Skills
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and
verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels
within the organization
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing
deadlines
- General Mathematics and Accounting
- Must be able to assess any given situation and bring to a
successful resolution
- Exercises solid decision-making and critical thinking
- Must be experienced in the effective use of one or more core
banking deposits and new account software
- Must have a satisfactory computer and spreadsheet skills
