in--- At PartnerCare, we believe our team members are at the heart
of our organization. Our Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) help our
patients with their rehabilitation workouts, activities, or
treatments as prescribed by a physical therapist. Our PTA's work
effectively under the supervision of a primary physical therapist
to carry out individualized patient care plans for people with
chronic conditions or recovering from an injury or surgery. For
this position, we need a self-motivated individual who is willing
to work with people of all ages and deliver consistent,
high-quality patient care.Had you been with us last month, these
are the things you would do:
- Prepare materials, accessories, and equipment for patient
use
- Instruct patients on how to perform rehabilitation exercises
and activities according to the physical therapist's plan of
care
- Carefully monitor and adjust patients during exercises to
ensure proper form
- Document and evaluate patient progress according to company
guidelines
- Coordinate with the patient's family and health care team as
needed
- Travel to patient homes, hospitals, outpatient clinics,
schools, and training facilities when requiredand after having done
all these things and more, you would have the following---
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- National PTA certification/licensure
- Experience in a health care setting or outpatient
rehabilitation clinic preferred
- Physical stamina and fitness
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
