Summary:The Assistant Construction Superintendent will assist the Project Superintendent with the coordination and oversight of the various vendors and construction trades to produce a quality project, on time and within an established budget while developing and maintaining positive internal and external client relationships.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Superintendent, assist in the management and administration of the Construction Phase of the project to include the following:Assist the Superintendent in overseeing the various construction trades to ensure proper implementation and compliance with all AGC policies and procedures.Review Bid documentsSchedule tradesSchedule material deliveriesMaintain oversight of all on-going work to establish construction quality control and adherence to the established construction scheduleAssist the Construction Superintendent in reviewing applications for payment to ensure work has been properly completed and invoices are in accordance with approved pricing. Submit reviewed documents timely to Superintendent for approval.Review and enforce all contract terms, change orders, and specifications with Subcontractors.Supervise and manage all team members that are assigned to report to you.Assist in conducting Weekly Safety Meeting and safety inspections.Assist in conducting Weekly Subcontractor's MeetingPrepare for and participate in Scheduling MeetingsOversee and implement Near Term ScheduleComplete Daily ReportsWalk the job site and coordinate job site clean up, security and quality control program.Review the project material/Submittal Status Log for complianceOther tasks as assigned by supervisory staff

Requirements:
Education/Experience and Technical Requirements:Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum of Three (3) years of construction experience with a Developer or General Contractor; multi-family construction experience preferredThe ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate math functions.Proficient software experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook and ExcelExperience working and communicating with multiple vendors and construction tradesStrong communication skills; both verbal and written.
