Position Title: Sales Coordinator

Job Summary: The Sales Coordinator is responsible providing the necessary support to the field sales team. The successful candidate will become the point of reference for colleagues and customers alike, by assisting with administrative duties including but not limited to reports, scheduling, communications, projects, presentations, expense reports, receiving, distributing, and sending mail, printing, and overall office tasks assigned. This position will be responsible for attending weekly meetings and answering phones, compiling data and analysis. Must have excellent oral and writing communication skills, ability and be flexible to support the sales team, familiarity and knowledge of all Hotel amenities and happenings.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Sales Coordinator provides clerical/secretarial and administrative support for the Sales Department, including sending emails, typing reports and contracts, filing, and answering telephones.

Respond to all sales inquiries accurately, timely and in a professional manner.

Coordination of all group and wedding business as contracted by the sales manager/DOS. Contact and provide appropriate follow-up on all signed/contracted business.

Responsible for effectively communicating with the various departments to ensure that the meeting and related functions are executed to exceed the client's expectations.

Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process: proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders.

Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process.

Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events).

Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.

Follow all company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Day(s) Required: FLEXIBLE, may require some Holidays and Weekends

Requirements:

The ideal applicant will be extremely organized and customer service oriented.
Proficient in Microsoft programs -- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook
Other Marketing and Hospitality program experience a plus.
Candidates must possess the skills and experience to consistently deliver exceptional guest service
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
2 Years Hospitality Experience
Hospitality Degree preferred
Previous sales experience preferred
Previous hotel experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand/walk/step for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds

Requirements:
