Job Description:

Responsible for providing quality individual and group fitness and exercise programs for members of all ages and degrees in health. Responsible for providing new member screening, testing, exercise prescription, orientation and fitness programs and services that enhance member retention. Provide individual fitness and exercise programs for aftercare or medical referral members via the physician's prescription, physical therapist's instruction or other authorized treatment plans. Drives business revenue goals by selling/servicing personal training and group training sessions. Promotes and displays a wellness environment throughout the department with participation and development of new and existing programs. Provide fitness coaching services including initial consultations and follow-up sessions. Possess knowledge of ACSM guidelines. Support the organization's vision, mission, values, and purpose. Educational Requirements Degree/Diploma ObtainedProgram of StudyRequired/ Preferredand/orHigh School Diploma or EquivalentRequiredorBachelor'sExercise SciencePreferredorBachelor'sAthletic TrainingPreferredorMaster'sExercise PhysiologyPreferred Additional Requirements Physical Education, Physical Therapy Assistant or related health field will be considered. Consideration will be given if the applicant has substantially completed the degree and/or certification requirements, and will receive the degree and/or certification within 60 days from date of hire Experience Requirements Minimum Years RequiredArea of ExperienceRequired/ Preferredand/or Internship in a clinical health facility, or related clinical field experience, or 1 to 2 years experience in a health facility environment preferred State of Florida Licensure Requirements LicensesRequired/ Preferredand/orNot Required Certifications/Registration Requirements Certificates/RegistrationsRequired/ Preferredand/or Additional Requirements A certification is required from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (ACSM, ACE, the Cooper Institute, National Academy of Sports Medicine, or NSCA.) CPR/AED preferred and is required within 90 days of hire.
