Position Title: SOUS CHEF



Job Description: The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the execution of all outlet needs. Prepares and cooks food of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or function. Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards. Performs all duties of kitchen managers and employees as necessary. Assist with meal periods and expediting meals. Review guest comments to gain feedback and continue to improve. Responsible for learning the menu and understanding the preparation, ingredients, and presentation of each item.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

--- Assist with all outlet food preparation
--- Have full knowledge of the outlet menus and how to prepare each item
--- Teach and train staff how to create each item and how it should be presented
--- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
--- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling F&B
--- Ability to properly work on an expo line or be the expeditor
--- Finish all closing duties required
--- Other duties as assigned

Anticipated Start Date: Two (2) weeks from date of job offer

Minimum Requirements:

--- 3 Years of Culinary Experience
--- Culinary School preferred
--- Ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
--- Ability to greet guests using proper language clearly and professionally

Physical Requirements:

--- Must be able to stand/walk/step for extended periods of time
--- Must be able to work in hot/cold conditions at any given time
--- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
