Position Title: BANQUET CHEF
Shift: FLEXIBLE
Day(s) Required: FULL TIME FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
Job Description: The Banquet Chef is responsible for assisting with
the execution of all banquet events. Maintain purchasing, receiving
and food storage standards before, during, and after the banquet.
Estimates daily banquet event needs on a weekly basis and
communicates to all kitchen personal. Participates in training the
staff on menu items including ingredients, preparation methods,
culinary descriptions, and menu presentations. Practice and observe
all safety rules and regulations and train staff to do the same.
Prepares and cooks food of all types, either on a regular basis or
for special guests or function. Review guest comments to gain
feedback and continue to improve. Assist with the expo line and
expediting during peak periods.
Minimum Requirements:
--- 3 years of culinary experience
--- Culinary School preferred
--- Ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
--- Ability to clearly and professionally greet guests using proper
language
Physical Requirements:
--- Must be able to stand/walk/step for extended periods of
time
--- Must be able to work in hot/cold conditions at any given
time
--- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job
functions include but are not limited to the following:
--- Assist with all Banquet Events food preparation
--- Have full knowledge of all banquet menus and how to prepare
each item
--- Teach and train staff how to create each item and how it should
be presented
--- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
--- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling
F&B
--- Ability to properly work on an expo line or be the
expeditor
--- Finish all closing duties required
--- Other duties as assigned
Anticipated Start Date: Two (2) weeks from date of job offer
