Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/27/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 27, 2026 - Length: 14 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience, prior travel experience, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients on a 12-hour night shift schedule. Details - 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting - High-acuity patient population with 1-2:1 nurse-to-patient ratios - EMR: Epic - 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week - On-call required: 12 hours within every 6-week scheduling period - Floating is required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses located within 15-20 minutes of the primary facility - Scrub color: Galaxy Blue and/or White Requirements - Active FL or compact RN license required - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP - AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course (completed and passed) required - AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course and EFM certification preferred - Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required - Prior travel nursing experience required - Accredited nursing degree required, or 5 years of nursing experience in lieu of degree accreditation documentation - 2 professional references required (at least one from within the past year) - Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing Additional Information - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; this radius rule is strictly enforced - Nurses begin orientation on a Friday; remote orientation is completed first, followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID issuance — candidates must be in the area by that Friday - All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration, as it will not be approved after an offer is made - Block scheduling requests are not accepted - No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience is required - Candidates are expected to function as core staff and integrate into the unit culture — flexibility and a team-player attitude are highly valued at this facility American Traveler Job ID P-679634.
