Job Description:
Lee Health Heart Institute is actively searching for a Cardiac
Surgeon to join our busy and growing comprehensive cardiac program.
Our current program consists of two fulltime Cardiac Surgeons .
This surgeon will join our team in performing foundational cardiac
surgery including CABG, open Valve repair/replacement as well as
dissections. However, we are seeking a surgeon with niche skills
that will assist us with the growth and development of our program
to the next level. (i.e. Minimally invasive valve surgery, AHF
device implants, etc.) Requirements: ACGME Fellowship Training in
Cardiothoracic Surgery Board Certified Thoracic Surgery by the
American Board of Thoracic Surgery Active, Unrestricted State of
Florida Medical License (or the ability to obtain prior to start
with the organization) Active, Unrestricted DEA Current BLS from
the American Heart Association Current Certification for
Implantation of Durable, Implantable Ventricular Assist Devices
(VADs) with case logs in the past 12 months to validate competency
