Registered Nurse -7pm-7am7pm-7am Registered Nurse needed with Competitive Pay & Benefits, plus a $3,000 Sign on Bonus!

The CSU at CBHC is an inpatient, psychiatric unit that stabilizes patients who are a danger to themselves and others due to mental illness or drug/alcohol use. This includes patients under the Baker Act and Marchman Act as well as patients who admit themselves voluntarily. The CSU is a 30 bed inpatient unit that provides care for children and adults. The CSU employees nursing staff, behavioral health tech staff, and clinicians. These three disciplines work together to create a therapeutic environment and provide patient safety and care. Patients stay at the CSU for a brief time period to stabilize psychiatrically and are then offered follow up services to help them maintain psychiatric stability.

Position Summary:

Registered Nurse provides nursing care consistent with licensing standards to patients being treated in the Crisis Stabilization Unit operated by a behavioral health center. RNs compete intakes, nursing assessments, work with an LPN to manage medication distribution, participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, consult with psychiatrists and families, and generally run the unit along with the LPN, BHTs, and clinicians

Salary:

Full time RN base pay ranges from $31.75 to $34.75 and up on experience. Additionally, RNs get pay differential for working weekends, over nights, and for picking up last minute shifts. This means that a RN working overnights on weekends can make as much as $41.75 and can make as much as $49.75 for covering shifts due to staff call outs.

Minimum Requirements:

Graduate from a University Accredited by the National Nursing Association

Florida Registered Nursing License.

Work Responsibilities:

Assesses, medically and behaviorally, patients; understands and executes admissions, treatment, and discharge orders pursuant to the Baker Act.

Provides medical care in response to physician's orders and the treatment plan.

Provides medical or behavioral based information to patients.

Maintains comprehensive records; participates in developing patient treatment plans, and in staffing and screenings; directs and monitors co-workers including Behavioral Health Technicians and other personnel on the unit.

Documents in client EMR for nursing assessment, unplanned nursing interventions, informational and progress notes.

Performs audits, corrective actions, and feedback to nurse manager about quality improvements, cost saving initiatives, and time efficiencies.

Attends monthly nursing in-service meetings, leadership meetings, and maintains current knowledge of policies, procedures and practices for the CSU.
