Job Description APPLY Seeking a full-time medical assistant to join our pediatric practice in Naples, FL.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prep patient charts to ensure all clinical data is obtained and recorded accurately. Identify missing reports prior to the patients visit.
• Ensure patient rooms and clinical areas are stocked properly.
• Answer and triage patient calls.
• Complete e-prescribe and/or pharmacy RX requests as authorized by the provider.
• Patient triage and intake to include obtaining vital signs
• Assist providers with patient exams and procedures.
• Prepare lab requisitions.
• Collect specimens (urine, blood, etc.), label correctly and send to the appropriate laboratory.
• In compliance with OSHA regulation, ensure a sterile clean of instruments and patient rooms after exam patient examination.
• Patient education.
• Review sample cabinet and dispose of expired medication.
• Administer injections and draw blood.
• Assist with patient scheduling as needed.
• Assist the supervisor as needed with supply ordering and/or equipment maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS / BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Medical Assistant Certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years prior medical office experience in physician practice setting.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    • Must be personable with a professional demeanor and able to exercise courtesy and tact with all patients.
    • Must be familiar with HIPAA regulations and medical information sharing practices.
    • Must have strong communications skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to interact positively and effectively with multiple departments.
    • Ability to use good judgment and utilize independent decision-making skills to effectively problem solve, resolve issues and facilitate department efficiency and productivity.
    • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and to maintain flexibility in response to constantly changing demands.
    • EMR familiarity preferred.
