Provides specialty healthcare in pain management. They monitor and
assess the patient experiencing acute or chronic pain for treatment
Planning and managing patient care according to each patient's
Accesses, diagnosis, order lab tests, and prescribes
Show patients how to manage their pain and medications.
Educate patients on alternative ways to relieve pain.
Observing and recording patients' conditions and reactions to
medications and treatments
Collaborate with other health care providers.
Takes part in pre and post-op phone calls and communicates any
problems to the Director of Clinical Services or Medical
Review patient documents to measure the effectiveness and quality
of patient care.
Collaborate with administrative staff to convey provider
Oversee the clinical nurse to ensure task are being completed and
patients receive the best care.
Maintains current State of Mississippi/Tennessee licensure
Master's degree in nursing
CPR certification for Health Care Providers
ACLS and BLS certification required.
Two years of Clinical experience. Prefer some prior experience in
specialty of interventional pain management.
Ability to apply and modify the principles, methods and techniques
of professional nursing to provide on-going patient care.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Ability to develop and maintain department quality assurance.
