Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. -The safety and efficacy of our medical devices is heavily dependent on the efforts and speedy execution of the Arthrex Orthopedic Research Department. The research team is seeking a Summer Associate -to assist with the operations and strategic management of the department. The successful candidate will be closely involved in the development and execution of research projects and critical initiatives. This candidate must possess strong analytical skills, a competitive forward-thinking mindset, and the ability to think strategically. The individual will also work with multiple teams within the global department and company stakeholders to streamline communication and drive high impact results.

This position will run from May -2022 -- August -2022. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 -hours per week at our Corporate Headquarters in Naples, FL.

Main Objective:
To support orthopedic research team with critical initiatives relating to the strategic planning, implementation and execution of scientific efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with department leadership to support the implementation and execution of department key initiatives.
Support the implementation of strategic planning initiatives, leading efforts that
Serve on cross-functional teams to establish processes to collaborate with multiple key leaders, optimize development activities and implement strategies.
Implement new strategic models and processes that optimize research operations that align with the company's vision and the department's core competencies .
Identify key competitors' orthopedic research and compliance processes and develop database on industry standards.
Assist with the execution of the departmental communication strategy to maximize impact of scientific efforts.
Review and analyze impact metrics, assisting with formalizing research impact assessment initiatives.
Analysis and presentation of Key Performance Indicators, per established guidelines and methodologies.

Education and Experience:
Master's degree candidate; preferably an MBA student. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as a Summer Associate up to six months from their graduation date.)
Health Care industry experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Intermediate to Expert computer skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to industries and competitors.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Ability to drive rigorous, well-communicated deliverables.
Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Good team player, able to build trust relationships within cross-functional teams.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; Word and Excel. PowerPoint applications proficiency is preferred.
