Fluidra is seeking aMaterials Manager to join the team at our
Built Right location in Punta Gorda, FL.WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTEThe
Materials Manager is responsible for managing the planning,
purchasing and inventory control functions, with the goal of
efficiently managing plants supply Additionally, you will:Manage
production scheduling/planning for the plantResponsible for
establishing and maintaining data integrityManage staff
planners/buyers and vendor-managed buyersProvide support to
production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet
production requirements and customer needsNegotiate contracts with
vendors and set aggressive targets for cost reduction of
suppliesManage Receiving department and raw material storageOversee
daily cycle counts and inventory accuracy, reconciliation of
inventory discrepancies or inaccuraciesInterface with S&OP
Manager, Supply Chain Analyst and Product Managers on planning and
forecastingResponsible for data integrity of the ERP system
including material locations and negatives on handCoordination of
annual Physical InventorySupport Engineering with new product
development sourcing needs and phase in / phase out of
inventoryAbility to manage in a highly dynamic work
environmentSupervision of up to 10 people including
Planners/Buyers, Receiving personnelWHAT WE SEEK7+ years of
experience in materials procurement, planning and management in a
manufacturing environmentPrevious personnel management
experienceKnowledge and experience with MRP. Knowledge of Oracle
preferred Proven ability to work within a multifunctional team and
ability to manage in a rapidly changing environment with
professionalismPositive personality that can communicate with all
levels of the organizationProven track record of accomplished
projects with increasing responsibilitiesBachelors Degree preferred
in Operations/Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering is
preferred.Proficiency in Oracle 11i is preferredExperience with
lean manufacturing is preferredFamiliarity with Six Sigma
principles is preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand and walk around; use hands to handle, or feel
objects, tools, or controls.Lifting of equipment under test and
associated support equipment will also be required.Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distinguish
colors, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
