Position Title: BANQUET MANAGER
Shift: FLEXIBLE
Day(s) Required: FULL TIME
Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Banquets, the Banquet
Manager is responsible for the overall performance of all banquet
staff and the duties each staff member performs. The Banquet
Manager must oversee these duties & assure that the execution of
these duties reflects the highest standards possible. The Banquet
Manager must communicate with guests on a consistent basis to gain
feedback about their experience and look for ways to improve the
experience. The Banquet Manager monitors administrative
responsibilities including asset protection, attendance, processing
of Banquet Event Orders, posting banquets checks on the internal
POS, equipment, and consumables inventories, etc. This person must
manage within budgetary constraints, as well as develop and
implement programs to increase guest satisfaction, employee
satisfaction and repeat business. The Banquet Manager must complete
all managerial duties, including knowledge of POS system,
scheduling, staff training, disciplining, payroll & supervision of
all revenues incurred in the outlets. Will handle high level
service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of
Resort events.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Banquets, responsibilities and
essential job functions include but are not limited to the
following:
--- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging
service
--- Lead and manage the Banquet Team in all aspects of the
department and ensure service standards are followed
--- Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally
--- To assist in the recruitment and training of Banquet staff
--- Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings
--- Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Banquet
teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and
promotions
--- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
--- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food
beverage
--- Other duties as assigned
Anticipated Start Date: Two (2) weeks from date of job offer

Minimum Requirements:
--- High school diploma or GED.
--- 4 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or
related professional area OR - 2-year degree from an accredited
university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant
Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
and 2 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or
related professional area.
--- 1 year of experience on banquets or events environment.
--- Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility,
ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule.
--- Hotel experience with operating Food and Beverage, or related
professional area, along with a thorough understanding of
restaurant service.
Physical Requirements:
--- Must be able to stand/walk/step for extended periods of
time.
--- Must be able to work in different weather conditions such hot,
cold, wind, rain, and sun exposure at any given time.
--- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
