nnLutheran Services Florida (LSFn) envisions a world where children are safe, families are strong and communities are vibrant.nLSF is looking for a talentedCase Manager who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.nPURPOSE &nIMPACTnThe Case Manager is responsible for provision of Pre and Post arrival services to refugees through the US Reception and Placement Program and the Afghan Parole Program.nnnThis role is a Temp to possibility of Full Time position.nA DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CASE MANAGERn* Manages refugee cases, ensuring timely delivery of services and fulfillment of requirements outlined in the Cooperative Agreement with Department of State/Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration and as required byLFSstandards and proceduresn* Coordinate pre-arrival assessment, assurance, and US-tie screening and orientation.nnn* Coordinate and provide airport reception for refugees through the Reception and Placement Program.nnn* Maintain and document case files for each case in accordance with guidelines.n* Provide on-going case management including core services delivery and maintenance assistance services to eligible clients throughout the program service period.nnn* Coordinate and assist in apartment set-up for refugees as required.n* Coordinate English classes, vocational education, job training, childcare, cultural orientation and other referrals and services, as well as transportation to appointments.n* Coordinate interpretation and translation services to refugee clients.nnn* Conduct home visits as mandated by the program.n* Prepare and document direct client assistance requests and disbursements. Secures signatures and necessary documentation for the case file.n* Enroll eligible clients into the employment program and provide orientation, maintenance assistance, and on-going case management services throughout the program service period.nnn* Develop and document a budget for each case with expenditures and dates.n* Coordinate employment services, including job orientations, in a timely manner to assistclientsin achieving self-sufficiency.nnn* Coordinate and conduct enrollment of theCentral American Minors (CAM) program.n* Coordinate and conduct enrollment of the Lautenberg program.n* Assist all eligible clients in filling the required forms for AOR - P3, CAM, SIV walk ins and Lautenberg Programsn* Generate and submit cases reports.nnn* Participate in community events to disseminate program information and recruit potential clients.n* Stays abreast of refugee and immigrant issues, and available services to refugees, using current information to better identify and serve refugee clients.n* Represent and promotes the refugee program at meetings and speaking engagements.nnn* Participate in LIRS trainings on cultural competence, service provision, policies and procedures.n* Perform other related duties as requested by theLSFand/or the Resettlement ProgramManager.nOther Functions:n* May enter all financial transactions of the clients funds into the IRIS system as well as accounting per procedures in a timely mannern* May create and document check request vouchers for all R&nP clients per scheduled if necessaryn* Must possess a clean/valid Florida Driver License, reliable transportation and proof of insurance (transcript of driving record will be requested from the Department of Motor Vehicle at the time of hire).nnn* Completes inventory control data entry form from DPVs, enters information in the database, and tags all the equipment and furniture regularly.nnn* Provides indirect supervision of Resettlement Program staff.nnn* Assists manager with RFP and other project.n* Assists Manager in enforcement and attaining program goals.n* Provides training to program staff if necessary.nQUALIFICATIONSnPhysical Requirements:n* Able to travel to other counties.n* Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.nnn* Able to utilize office equipment.n* Able to work in fast paced environment.nEducation:nBachelors degree in Social Work, or other relevant degree or equivalent experience.nExperience:n* Child welfare and/or case management experience is strongly encouragedn * 3-year experience preferred working with refugee or immigrant childrenn* Cross-cultural or international experience preferrednSkills:n* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsn* Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect families to community services.nnn* Excellent verbal and written communication skillsn* Critical assessment and analysis skillsn* Ability to work and deal a diverse group of clients.nnn* Must be able to keep confidential information.n* BilingualnnLutheran Services Florida embraces diversity, equity and inclusion in all business practices.
