Function: Responsible for creating and delivering a positive and satisfying in-store brand experience for both the internal and external guest to maximize business results and the guest experience. Interaction Reports to Store Manager Extensive interaction with guests, associates, and management team Interaction with District Manager and Regional Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Experience Upholds a culture that builds exceptional internal and external guest experiences. Maintains high guest readiness standards and delivers a neat, clean, and easy to shop store environment. Builds guest loyalty through our loyalty and credit card programs. Personally, models a positive guest experience, ensuring the guest always takes priority. Disciplines: Partner with Store Manager and District or Group Manager on the development of merchandise presentations. Consistently teach, develop, and empower direct reports to interpret brand presentations to improve guest experience and drive top line sales. Communicate merchandise opportunities, assortment needs, product performance observations and feedback to Store Manager, District or Group Manager. Teach and direct team to meet Bealls Best Practices. Treats our product with care and respect by maintaining a clean, neat, and organized store. Ensures the proper handling of merchandise functions within the store including markdowns, processing, sizing, and recovery. Creates a positive Fitting Room environment through guest interaction and recovery Process: Perform all operational functions needed to run the store daily (e.g. opening, closing, POS system, computer network, maintenance, guest service and sales). Utilize daily and weekly sales reports to track, analyze and communicate business results to determine strategies that will maximize sales. Direct placement and presentation of floor-ready receipts on the sales floor. Oversee teams to effectively set promotions and price changes in a timely manner. Manage a safe working environment and the ongoing protection of Beall's assets and funds. Execute all company policies, procedures, processes as required and ensure full compliance with all operational procedures and paperwork as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Correctly apply and follow all Company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Talent: Participate in the talent selection and onboarding process for store team. Participates in coaching, preparation, and delivery of reviews. In conjunction with Store Manager, trains Area Managers, and all other direct reports on merchandise presentation techniques and store operational processes. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise associates daily through activities including (but not restricted to) hiring, motivating, delegating, promoting, counseling, and coaching, performance appraisals, pay-rate reviews and terminating. Supervise sales floor through coaching and motivating associates to ensure quality guest experience as Guest Experience Manager. Physical Demands Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must have full hand and arm usage for operating machines such as POS terminals and ticketing machines. Must be able to climb stairs to stockroom (if applicable) to replenish and maintain merchandise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry at least 20 pounds. Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e. bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching). Must be able to climb a 6 ft. ladder for maintaining and presenting merchandise (if applicable). Must be able to stand/walk 95% of the day to perform the essential job duties. Qualifications: Minimum of three years of retail management including merchandising/visual experience and a two-year college degree or equivalent upper-level retail management experience. Ability to work well with all levels of management, build partnerships and influence teams. Highly organized and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities. Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and guest service skills. Proven ability to conduct effective Store walk-throughs with Leadership. Demonstrates business acumen with strategic and analytical skills This position requires a 40-hour work week. During peak periods it may require more hours and overtime must be approved by your supervisor in advance. Schedule flexibility to include evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet demands of the business. Must have a valid Florida driver license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel based on business need. Function: A Store Associate provides the best possible service to our guests on the selling floor resulting in repeat guests and increased sales. To achieve this goal, teamwork will be required among all employees. Certain non-selling tasks must also be completed to maintain exceptional guest service. Perform all requirements and functions of the POS terminal systems in an efficient and timely manner. Perform receiving duties and merchandising duties. Assist Management to ensure the ongoing protection of Company assets and funds from theft and errors throughout the entire store. Correctly apply and follow all Company policies and procedures. Treats our product with care and respect by maintaining a clean, neat and organized store. Ensures the proper handling of merchandise functions within the store including markdowns, processing, sizing, and recovery. Creates a positive Fitting Room environment through guest interaction and recovery Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Physical Demands Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must have full hand and arm usage for operating machines such as POS terminals and ticketing machines. Must be able to climb stairs to stockroom (if applicable) to replenish and maintain merchandise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry at least 20 pounds. Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e. bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching). Must be able to reach a minimum of 60 inches to stock and maintain merchandise. Must be able to handle cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum, broom, mop and duster) to maintain store cleanliness. Must be able to climb a 6 ft. ladder for maintaining and presenting merchandise (if applicable). Required to stand on feet 95% of the day. Limitations to Authority A Sales Associate will need approval from a Supervisor or Manager for the following: Processing check and charge transactions beyond specific limits set by the Company. Accepting guest returned merchandise. Leaving the assigned work area; this includes leaving the floor for breaks, meals, and trips to the stockroom. Resolving guest complaints frequently requires the approval of a Supervisor, especially if a deviation from normal policy is required. Merchandising placement/displays must be approved by the Supervisor to ensure that the area is merchandised according to Company adjacencies. Making exceptions to guest service policies Qualifications High school diploma. Ability to work varying hours and schedules to include days, mid shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures. Must have strong verbal communication skills and guest service skills.
