Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – School – Qualifications and
Responsibilities /n /n - Assist licensed Speech-Language
Pathologists in the implementation of treatment plans. /n /n /n -
Conduct individual or group therapy sessions under supervision. /n
/n /n - Document client performance and progress during therapy
sessions. /n /n /n - Prepare therapy materials and equipment for
upcoming sessions. /n /n /n - Assist in the assessment of speech
and language disorders. /n /n /n - Provide feedback to clients and
caregivers regarding progress. /n /n /n - Maintain accurate and
organized records of client sessions. /n /n /n - Support the SLP in
screenings and evaluations. /n /n /n - Educate clients and families
on exercises to improve communication skills. /n /n /n -
Collaborate with other healthcare or educational professionals as
necessary. /n /n License - Education - Certification Requirements:
/n /n - Associate or bachelor’s degree in communication sciences
and disorders or equivalent. /n /n /n - Completion of a
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification program /n /n /n
- State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
