Job Description Accounts Payable II in Venice, FL. The Accounts Payable II role is responsible for performing advanced accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments. This position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely, including matching, coding, and entering into the ERP system. Review and reconcile vendor statements; resolve discrepancies and communicate with vendors as needed. Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting. Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues promptly. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations. Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 3 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
